The perfect day trips from Noosa
Sometimes you feel like there may be more to see to Noosa than Hastings Street. And you'd be 100% correct. If you fancy taking a drive to see more of the Sunshine Coast read on. These are our guaranteed day trippin' good times.
Cows and Ribs
Take a drive to Maleny Dairies and experience the farm life. Take one of the many tours available or pull up a picnic rug on the rolling green and enjoy scones with jam and Maleny dairy cream, and pat the farm animals. With morning tea under your belt, drive through picturesque countryside to the town of Palmwoods and eat your heart out at Rick’s Garage. Hands down best ribs on the Sunshine Coast. Head there on the weekend to experience live music. Or wander through the
quaint town and discover delicious cafes.
Beers and Country
Designated driver required
Start your beers and country adventure at Land and Sea brewery or Heads of Noosa, heck do both! Then jump in the car and take a trip Cooroy to the fabulous Copperhead Brewery. It is also an excellent stop for lunch. Walk off your lunch and explore the township of Cooroy. We recommend Fox and Hound if you are a chai aficionado as they brew an amazing local blend. Or Circa for your coffee fix. Jump back in the car and drive through Pomona (we won’t say no to a stop at Rockin’ Relics for some great antique finds) and head to the tiny town of Cooran. Bonsai Brewhouse is only open Thursdays, Friday’s and Saturday afternoons and evenings but worth the drive. Head to down the street to Hinterland Restaurant for dinner.
Cheese and Farm to Table
Not quite beach weather?
Take a trip to Kenilworth Dairies and have free samples of the regions best cheeses. Open seven days, just try to leave without a doggy bag! Kenilworth is the cutest town too with a kick ass bakery. But before you fill up, take a country drive and continue to Kadanga. Here you will find a local hidden treasure - Kandanga Farm Store. Overlooking the lush pasture lands experience true farm to table dining. Lunch, tunes and great coffee!
A taste of Germany
Wet weather friendly
You may have heard or even ventured to Montville or Maleny, but have you ever tried the deliciousness that is King Ludwigs? A German beerhouse that has arguably one of the best views in the hinterland. And the best German delicacies
and beer! It is open seasonally so please check their website and book a table before you head off. If you haven’t explored Montville or Maleny yet it is worth a little meander. So take the Woombye exit off the highway and drive past the Big Pineapple for an instaworthy holiday snap. Stop in at Grounded in Woombye for the perfect coffee for the drive. Then drive on to Montville, Maleny, and make some little stops at the cute shops. Then off to arrive at King Ludwigs for a late lunch. Get the pretzels. You won't be disappointed.
