Things to do on a rainy day in Noosa

We have finally felt the pitter patter of rain drops here in Noosa. It is definitely most welcomed after a very long dry spell. If you are here visiting Noosa however, you may be looking for some wet weather friendly destinations. Or perhaps you are a local looking for a new spot to while away the wet days?

Flying West Coffee - Doonan

Just a short drive from the hustle of Hastings Street you will find this little gem. A coffee roastery which is relaxed and cosy on a rainy day. Perfect for a coffee and a treat, their breakfast and lunch menu is also exceptional.

Belmondos - Noosa

Tucked in the industrial area this will tick off a few things with out getting your feet wet. Incredible butcher with organic and local produce? Check. Local fruit and vegetables straight from the farm? Check. Vanilla Foods and Tanglewood bakery also share this space with Clandestino Roastery. Amazing food and coffee all in the same space. Be warned it can get rather busy!

Larder and Baked - The Junction

This space is perfect in wet weather. Park behind in the Cinema carpark and wander through to salad heaven and a mean coffee. Actually the perfect pitstop before a lunch time movie!

Berkelouw Books - Eumundi

Nothing like a rainy day and a good book. Take a drive to Eumundi to check out the best book store and grab an amazing holiday read. There is an adjoining cafe too.

With kids ...

Let's be honest, wet weather and child wrangling is a whole different kettle of fish.  If you are in tow of children we can recommend:

Noosa Leisure Centre

Is it just me or do the kids have extra energy when it is raining? If your tots are preschool age,  the Leisure Centre in Noosa has an indoor play gym. Also great on super hot days as it is completely air-conditioned.

Noosa Library

The Library is across from the Leisure Centre and provides all sorts of activities during the school holidays. It also has a Rhyme Time and other entertainment outside of the holidays which you can check on their website here:

Noosa Civic

If it is really pouring down there is a free playground in the food court at the Civic Shopping Centre for kids under 5. You can while away some time with a coffee or hit the sushi train. Big W and Cotton On Kids are there too for any "I forgot to pack" items.

Noosa Cinema

Never a better time to catch up on what's on the big screen then when it is raining! With plenty of delicious food options in the Junction too, be sure to take your umbrella so you can stroll down to Sushi Yah Man or Ze Pickle for dinner

Tewantin RSL

Now it may not be your first consideration for a dinner option - but their fully enclosed kids room and kids eat free nights are pretty hard to pass up! They also have a courtesy bus if you are staying in the area.
